Belgian tactician, Tom Saintfiet has cleared
the air on reports linking him with the
Bangladesh national team job declaring he
has not signed or accepted any other job as
he awaits news from the Nigeria Football
Federation, which remains his priority.
Saintfiet, 43, is one of 3 shortlisted coaches
for the Super Eagles jobs, but news of an
offer from the Bangladesh Football
Federation for the job of the Bengal Tigers
sparked concerns in the Nigerian football
circles that the former Qatar and Zimbabwe
Boss may be looking elsewhere.
However, in a swift response, Saintfiet
denied he has accepted to work with any
other Federation.
He disclosed that the President and board
of the Asian Country’s FA offered him a
contract with a mandate to resume
immediately. However, he has stated
emphatically that the Nigeria Football
Federation job is his first priority and until
the matter is resolved he cannot accept the
Bengal Lions appointment.
