Lol..See this ridiculous note and the replies from his colleagues (photo)

A BBC worker has been ridiculed for leaving a note on a water cooler asking his colleagues not to plug the cooler because he likes his water at Room temperature. The worker stuck the A4 printed note on the water cooler at New Broadcasting House in central London this week. The note reads:
“A polite request – Please Do not plug in the water cooler. I like my water at room temperature. I am fed up with having to bend over to unplug the machine, so please do not plug it back in.”
His colleagues who were left bemused by his note, replied with their own message on the water cooler:
“But 90 per cent of everyone else likes it CHILLED!!!”. Another wrote; “two taps” on the water cooler – one which provided chilled water and the other with “room temperature water” – and that it should be left plugged in at all times.
Another wrote: “Middle class problems huh! Another colleague wrote “With the machine plugged in and switched on the right tap is chilled water and the left is room temperature. “This you’d realise if you spent a little less time trying to bend the entire world to your will.” Another co-worker scrawled on the note; “get over yourself”, while another wrote; “health alert, SOS mayday”.

Afrima 2016 Nominee, Naomi Achu celebrates birthday by answering questions that everybody wants to hear

How do you handle marriage, motherhood and being an artist?
Communication is key. Being open and supportive of each other as a couple. I'm grateful for the patient and loving husband I have who appreciates my artistry, gives me meaningful advice and keeps me grounded. Dayo is an author and illustrator. His book "Leopard Killer" is available on www.amazon.com at  http://amzn.to/2d5klnl
As a dark skinned female, have you considered bleaching your skin to make yourself more marketable as an entertainer ?
- That's ridiculous. What is wrong with my color? I still don't understand this question.
As a married woman, what is your take on decency and skin exposure?
A fan had asked me that question recently after I posted my bikini picture on whatsapp. I cannot answer for others but I can answer for myself.
Yes, I am a wife and mother; however, I am also an artist. And with artistry comes creativity and risk taking.  This past year was very challenging for me with the birth of my child, breastfeeding and going to the studio to record my album. I am 5'3" and I was 200 lbs+ when I gave birth to my first daughter and I almost had pre-eclampsia. My feet were swollen like balloons. I have had my emotions go up and down like a roller coaster.
So, today I celebrate my birthday with my daughter walking and running, my husband by my side, an album in distribution, nominations and awards, and most recently, my two afrima nominations. It has not been easy but I'm grateful to God and my loved ones by my side.
I would like to empower every woman to put themselves first. Because if you are not happy within yourself then you cannot be happy with anyone else. And if you are not at peace with yourself, the negativity will spread to your child, your spouse or your loved ones. So put yourself first no matter what and let God lead the way. I am learning to be one with myself and my being , it may reflect in my dressing, but it is in no way to distract anybody from my music or artistry. I'm simply celebrating myself as a mom, wife and entertainer. Let me have this one.

Why are you called "Queen of Bamenda"? Who gave you the right?

I merely claimed the town that I come from because I'm a die hard Baforchu girl who is proud of her heritage. What if I had said Queen of Cameroon or Queen of Africa?  I'm sure they would have crucified me.
A big mind will see that I am on a mission to make my town and country internationally known and to make my people proud.
A small mind will ask why I would claim that title. Its a matter of how we view things. I mean no harm
Who would you consider your competition as an artist?
My biggest competition is myself. To be better than I was yesterday. I'm a work in progress and I strive to only get better. Shout out to fellow artists all over the world who have the same undying passion for music. Music is such a beautiful language that we should use to make love, not war.
Why do you change your hairstyle so often? Don't you think it will confuse the fans?
I don't switch my hair up for my fans, I switch it up for my husband, so he can feel like he's with a different woman all the time. I owe him that much...
Why didn't you marry a Cameroonian. You married a Nigerian.
I have suffered! I had no idea that there was a law that Naomi must marry a man from Cameroon. I must have missed the memo. Anyway, where I come from, a man must propose to a woman not a woman to a man. Lol. So to cut a long story short, I did not get a proposal from a Cameroonian man. Why didn't they stop me. Anyway. If you snooze, ...well, you know the rest.
Why is Naomi no singing fully Gospel Music? We forsee you being a potential force to reckon with in this genre.
I am a work in progress and God's work will be done. I'm open to what the future holds.
What keeps you going?
Knowing that there are opportunities in front of me that could and should be exploited. That there are songs that need to be written and that there are people that need to be moved. So help me, God.
We don't see your husband often at your performances. Why is that? Well...my husband actually gets free shows and sees my performances before anyone else. And my home performances are more entertaining than outside performances. lol.  So no need.
How is Naomi giving back to your community.
Through "International Nurses for Africa"of which I am an ambassador. INA is  state registered NGO focused on addressing health issues all over the African continent and making it possible to get international aid.
How do you handle negativity from online as well as around you?
When it comes to social media, I try to ignore and stay focused. Or I try to either laugh with or see the humor along with my fans. As long as you put yourself out for the public in any way, people will always have something to say.
Around me, I keep my circle small. I have no energy to go back and forth or make enemies. My efforts should be going towards giving back to my community or doing something constructive like writing a new song. So I channel my energy to my creativity and new projects.
Have you ever had cosmetic surgery
No. I'm all natural. I've considered it and made jokes but its never happened.
Tell us something interesting we don't know about Naomi Achu
I have never smoked weed; never smoked a hookah or cigarette. I drink socially and my favorite liquor is baileys. However, my recent encounter with Angelique Kidjo may change my drinking habits to no drinking at all for the sake of being a professional artist.

Man jailed for 24 weeks after feeding his dog cocaine and cutting off its ears with pliers and scissors (photos)

A man,  Christopher Matthew Griffiths was sentenced to 24 weeks imprisonment after he cut the ears of his dog with pliers and scissors after feeding the dog Cocaine, a court has heard.
According to police he was jailed for the “deliberate and planned operation” on his pet Staffordshire bull terrier, Victor.
SPCA prosecutor Glen Murphy told Wrexham Magistrates Court that Griffiths caused unnecessary pain to Victor by cutting off the dog’s ears using scissors and pliers and giving him cocaine.
Judge Gwyn Jones sentenced Griffiths to 24 weeks imprisonment, gave him £80 prison surcharge and disqualified him from owning dogs for 10 years.
Griffiths in his own court statement claimed he had been attacked because he had refused to allow drugs to be stored at his home and while he was on the ground, his assailant used the pliers to remove Victor’s ears which the court didn't believe because to be able to have removed the dog's ears it must have required extreme force.
Traces of blood were found on Griffiths home and also the pliers and scissors used to attack the dog.
Bethan Jones, the Dog's defending lawyer said;
“It is clear this was a deliberate and planned operation which would have taken some time to exact. No one will ever know how much pain Victor suffered.
A considerable amount of force had to be used to cut the cartilage. It is clear that you ignored the obvious pain Victor was in and it was planned because you drugged the dog in advance. The injuries could have easily become infected had it not been for the intervention of the RSPCA and Victor could have come to further harm or even death.”
RSPCA inspector Kia Thomas said to Mirror UK: “When I first saw Victor I was just so shocked as his ears were gaping open wounds. I had never seen anything quite like it before.
“It must have been so painful for him. It was just so heart-breaking. It is awful to imagine what poor Victor went through. It was totally unnecessary.”

Scrumptious Cakes #Closertoyou at www.Dreamtreats.com

Having a fresh and finely baked cake for that special day of yours used to be a major task. Even after going through the rigors of your choice specifications and price negotiation, and then going to get your cake on the day of the event was no small trouble. In fact there are many stories of cakes getting damaged from the stress and amateur handling by the customers on their way back from the bakers place.

But somewhere along the line, with innovation from technology, we have evolved to the point of having the confidence to purchase almost anything online. However when it comes to food, there seems to be some drawbacks, and more still when it’s food that is perishable within a short period or food that is best taken when fresh.

This is the major reason why bringing the cake-making business into the online community maybe long overdue, but there remains some objections, as regards some peculiar complexities and attention from production to final delivery and consumption. Many have however, come to embrace the fact that right from their bedroom, they can order cake and have it delivered in no time. This has no doubt bring a great relieve to both customers and bakers alike.
However, the midst of all this innovation, the process and quality of cake eventually delivered was far from being an Eldorado, meaning there was still hitches at some points that tends to pose a challenge to a to the happiness of both customers and the bakers. In fact, Most times if it is not well managed it could marred the entire process, leading to disappointment from the consumers. One of such issues is when people don’t get the actual quality or design they had ordered from online, this can create a big challenge.

This is why Dreamtreats decided to step in, fill this need, and eliminate these challenges, and to offer the best cake service at the most affordable price. There is no stories, once you conclude on your specification for a particular cake via the online platform of Dreamtreats, with just a click, the team immediately goes into action to satisfy you 100%. Their special team has mastered the art of delivering your cake to you wherever you are, this is because they do not subscribed to clients going through the challenge of coming to their office to book for cake.

Canadian Aboriginal chief snubs the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for the second time in many days

Grand Chief Stewart Phillip, Chairman and Spokesperson of the Okanagan Nation Alliance was scheduled to appear on stage with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the tenth anniversary celebrations of the University of British Columbia but he gave the event a pass at the last minute.

Chief Jonathan Kruger from the local Penticton Indian Band replaced him.
A spokesman for the university could not comment on why Grand Chief Phillip had pulled out. Just a day earlier, the leader of 115 First Nation tribes in British Columbia known as the Union of BC Chiefs, declined to turn up at historic reconciliation ceremony with the royals at Government House in Victoria in protest at government treatment of his people.

 He said in a statement:
'With the deepening poverty of our communities, remembering the missing and murdered indigenous women and girls and the ongoing negligence of indigenous child welfare policies across this country, in good conscience, I cannot participate in the Black Rod Ceremony.'
Kensington Palace declined to comment on the controversy
